Privacy dispatch from the desk
Revised 2 November 2026
The short version of our privacy approach
Lakeheadarcade is built to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment sections, no analytics and no advertising trackers. You can read every page without telling us who you are.
This policy explains the few things that do happen when you visit, and it follows the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, PIPEDA.
Your hangar and cookie choice stay with you
When you save games to your hangar, or respond to the cookie notice, that information is stored in your own browser using localStorage. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us; we cannot see it.
Clearing your browser data removes the hangar and the cookie choice. If you share a hangar link, the list of saved game names travels inside the link itself, and only to whoever you choose to send it to.
Fonts served by Google
The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver the font files, Google receives your IP address and basic browser details, as happens with any web request. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy.
We use Google Fonts only to display text attractively; we receive no data from Google about you or your visit.
Leaving our dock for a publisher’s harbour
Play and download buttons open each game’s official site in a new tab. Once there, the publisher’s own privacy policy applies, including anything they collect when you create an account or play.
Some buttons may be partner links, which let a publisher know a visitor arrived from Lakeheadarcade. We do not receive personal information about you through those links.
Emails you send the desk
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use that only to read and reply to you.
We keep correspondence only as long as needed to answer and follow up, then delete it. We never add you to a mailing list or share your message with anyone else.
Your rights under PIPEDA
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, which in practice is limited to emails you have sent us. You can ask us to correct or delete it, and we will do so promptly.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can contact us first, and you also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes and contact
If the way the site handles information changes, we will update this policy and revise the date shown at the top. We will never quietly add tracking without saying so here first.
Any privacy question can be sent to [email protected], and a real editor will read it and reply.
